At Diamond Valley United, we seek to support the wider community through joyful outreach, and are pleased to be able to open our building for a variety of community uses throughout the week.
We are not alone. We live in God's world.
Community Connection
We seek grassroots opportunities to participate in and nurture community relationships. We get involved locally in many ways, such as: hosting concerts, workshops and an annual Christmas Market; planting faith through the annual Diamond Valley Discovery Day; Christmas carol singing in the community; and providing Good Samaritan emergency financial support. Oilfields Food Bank
We are grateful to the Oilfields Food Bank for providing food to those in need on Tuesdays year-round. The Oilfields Food Bank has occupied a purpose-built space downstairs in our building since 1990. The Food Bank is 100% volunteer-run and supported by local community individuals and businesses. The Oilfields Food Bank believes everyone has the right to safe and nutritious food to meet their dietary needs and preferences. Diamond Valley Early Learning Centre
Since 2020, Diamond Valley Early Learning Centre has been providing high quality, affordable early education opportunities for 3 to 5 year olds. We are so happy to have the joyful sounds of children at play filling our building five days per week. From its dedicated space on the east side of the church, the Centre offers up to 40 children opportunities to explore early learning through play experiences. Jacket Racket
Volunteers at Diamond Valley United provide warm winter clothing to the community and surrounding area each fall and winter. Jacket Racket is set-up downstairs, and available for community use from October through March during office hours (Tuesdays and Thursdays 10am to 3pm). To visit Jacket Racket outside of office hours, contact the office to make an appointment.
Souper Suppers
The wider community comes together around tables in our sanctuary each spring and fall to connect over hot soup and homemade buns.
